What's a memorable 'aha' moment you've had while building your startup?
People didn’t ask for robots. They asked for no chores. So we’re focused on eliminating chores without making it feel like you added a robot to your home.
How is your team uniquely positioned to solve the problem you're tackling?
Most teams are either strong in robotics, or strong in consumer product, but not both. Our background taught us why robotics has failed in the home, so we built a team that combines deep technical expertise with design and consumer thinking.
Why are you excited about your company/product?
Because we’re building a new robotics category. Lume is the first step toward ambient robotics: intelligence embedded into everyday objects that quietly help and then disappear. Our goal is to be minimally intrusive, and maximally helpful for your home.
