Grove Tax
AI Workforce for Tax Firms from ex Airbnb, Intuit team
Tax preparers spend 65% of their time not doing taxes. They chase documents, do manual data entry, and manage clients back-and-forth. The result: 75% have retired in the last decade, a third of those left want to quit, and the gap between demand and supply widens every year. You cannot close that gap with people. You close it with AI agents. Grove builds autonomous agents that handle the full tax return lifecycle: intake, document extraction, return preparation, and delivery. Grove launched with design customers this past season. Preparers are handling returns through Grove 3x faster and paying 3x more than what they pay for their tax software. The Grove team is currently in talks with institutional tax companies for partnership opportunities.

I've spent a decade building tax software from the inside. I co-founded Intuit Link, led Product at IBM Watson, ProConnect and Lacerte at Intuit, and served as Head of Product for UltraTax at Thomson Reuters. Now I'm building Grove to disrupt what I helped create.
