Why are you excited about your company/product?
All my friends and I struggle with finding shows to watch on Netflix. There just aren't enough good shows to watch, so we end up scrolling forever and settle for whatever is out there. For the first time, we're able to make shows which we ourselves would love to watch -- and so many people like us are passionate about creating 1000s of stories/topics into Netflix-quality series. It is obvious to us that Zingroll should exist: it'll be the primary way how a user like me will be served exactly what I want to watch, from an ocean of Netflix-quality shows on all kinds of topics and stories made using AI.
What's a memorable 'aha' moment you've had while building your startup?
I've repeated seen my favorite trailers made by creators on Zingroll over 20 times each. I was curious if I was doing this because I'm a founder, or is this a behavior seen in users too. So I checked as many post-hog recordings as I could -- turned out that a decent amount of our users replay trailers weekly and check to see if the full-shows of those trailers have been released.
How is your team uniquely positioned to solve the problem you're tackling?
We've made several apps apps viral, we understand great story telling, and we've already demonstrated all we needed to demostrate to prove the thesis. Now's the time to scale everything up -- we won't lose because someone else did it better, we'll lose if we fuck it up.
