What's the story behind your company?
We are all massive anime fans who share Gen Z's generational obsession with anime videos. Anime is traditionally made from popular story IPs from webcomics (manga, webtoons, manhwa) but is time consuming -- each 1 second of motion animation takes 8 hand drawn panels. While 10000+ professional webcomic titles are made each year, only 200 professional anime series are made every year. With AI video getting significantly better, we want to reduce the cost of animation and create a new AI x creative company that animates webcomics into anime.
How is your team uniquely positioned to solve the problem you're tackling?
We are a deeply technical team of Stanford AI Grad school dropouts who have launched multiple top 3 product hunt launches in consumer apps. We are Gen Z ourselves and understand our audience. We have built giant communities and understand the power of communities for distribution. We are immigrants from Asia with strong networks in the storytelling studios there. If there is a new age AI x consumer app to be built, we are the team for it.
