Personal computing in the AI era feels bloated, our screens are cluttered with random, unserious info. We believe computers should be intentional, adapting to real human needs and behaviors. Since the first chatbot (Eliza) in the 1960s, chat has become the default for human-computer interaction, culminating in today’s LLM-powered GUIs like ChatGPT and Claude. This feels broken: in an ideal world, chat shouldn’t exist for communicating with computers.
