Shawn is currently the CEO and co-founder of Snapp AI, a 24/7 AI Agent for Sports Fans. Shawn has been in the startup world since 2011 when he started a daily deals company with his college friends called Munch On Me (YC class of S11) and dove into the tech startup industry. He later co-founded a food delivery company, Caviar, in early 2012. Caviar was acquired by Square, now a public company, in 2014 and then acquired again by DoorDash in 2019. He is also a partner at Beluga Capital which had invested and advised in several food tech startups, restaurants, and numerous other companies. He has also advised a couple VC funds and mentored several startup companies. Besides tech, Shawn is a founding partner of Umai Hospitality Group, a restaurant group invested in The Halal Guys, Pour Decisions Craft, and Rooster & Rice.
