Why are you excited about your company/product?
When I first built Tinder, I was obsessed with connecting people digitally. Helping people find meaningful connections was extraordinarily gratifying. Now the world has shifted to more authentic and in-person experiences. I am incredibly excited and passionate about building Plots, and applying everything I know about social discovery to a whole new demographic that connects in a very different way.
Can you share a distinctive achievement or highlight from your career?
My biggest claim to fame was creating Tinder. I build the very first version of Tinder when it was just 5 people. I eventually grew the engineering team to over 200 engineers, and had the opportunity to not only serve as CTO but as CPO in the years that followed. I'm proud to have changed the dating landscape, and create a company with over a billion dollars revenue annually.
