Why are you excited about your company/product?
Making restaurants more profitable is a hard but solvable problem. AI unlocks the ability to build end-to-end reinforcement learning loops to tune labor and inventory. Kintow will be able to think like a expert, data-driven general manager, measuring and taking into account the consequences of its actions in changes to revenue and profitability.
How is your team uniquely positioned to solve the problem you're tackling?
Ivan has started and operated a coffee shop. I've deployed machine learning at scale. And we both have the ability to attract mission-driven talent.
What inspired you to start your business?
Ivan and I were roommates all 4 years at Columbia and have remained close friends since. I invested in Con Leche and saw what it took for Ivan to make it profitable. I saw with AI we could give any restaurateur the ability to achieve that level of operational excellence.
