Michael Lingelbach

Michael is a former PhD student from Stanford focusing with a background in computer vision and embodied AI. His fascination with controllable generative media dates back to his early highschool days as a thespian and amateur VFX fan. Now Michael leads a team at the intersection of product and foundation model research, building highly controllable omnimodal models for content creation.

What's the story behind your company?

I've always been an amateur artist, from theatre to music to some quite awful explorations into painting. Generative media holds immense promise for revolutionizing communication, marketing, and creativity as a whole. I was a PhD student while the foundation model revolution happened in AI, I was really motivated to get out of the lab and into building product as I felt a calling to build.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?

We have a deep focus on combining a wholistic product focus with novel innovation by bringing together the best designer and researchers into one SF office. We focus on efficiently training models for a fraction of the price of incumbents that focus on key verticals around marketing and communication while keeping the product accessible to anyone who wants to bring an idea to life.

Why are you excited about your company/product?

Generative media holds the potentially to fundamentally change how people absorb information, from hyperpersonalized ads to empowering everyone with the power of their own personal Pixar. The opportunity to build the definitive third wave creative tool for the AI era is the opportunity and privilege of a lifetime.
