What's the story behind your company?

Coalition Systems started from a simple observation that turned into an obsession. I was pursuing a PhD in Engineering at Oxford, with a background in politics, foreign policy, and defence from my studies at Yale, and it became increasingly clear to me that the national security ecosystem — for all its sophistication — was running on infrastructure that was never built for the purpose. Military operators coordinating on WhatsApp. Intelligence services siloed from defence tech companies. Allied forces with no shared operating layer. The tools existed. The layer beneath them did not. What struck me was not just that the problem was serious, but that no one had framed it as a category to be built. Not a product, not a point solution — infrastructure. The railroad.
