The catalyst was the observable reality: military operators and national security professionals coordinating on consumer tools out of necessity. Signalgate wasn't an isolated lapse, it was a symptom of a hyper-fragmented software stack that protocols tolerated because there was no alternative. The problem runs deeper. This ecosystem has fundamentally changed and the nodes of vulnerability extend across institutions, from intelligence services to energy grids. The railroads for allied coordination have not been built.
