Questions & Answers

Why are you excited about your company/product?

We're excited about Chronicler because self-texting isn’t just our team's habit—it’s how so many people, including us, keep track of life. Beyond our own experiences, my co-founders’ wives are prolific self-texters who have been clamoring for a better way to stay organized without downloading or learning yet another productivity tool. We’re lazy people who aspire to be better, and Chronicler is our way of solving that problem for ourselves—and everyone like us.

Can you share a distinctive achievement or highlight from your career?

At OKX, I was the Product Manager for the Markets feature—one of the most critical parts of the platform, where millions of users track prices, trends, and trading opportunities. As we set out to reach a new crypto-curious audience, I had to build the feature from the ground up to make it more intuitive and accessible. I spent countless late nights working with our engineers and designers, making sure we got every detail right. In the end, we built something incredible—an essential tool that became a core part of the OKX experience for millions of traders worldwide. There’s nothing more rewarding than crafting an amazing user experience and seeing everyday people love something your team built.

How is your team uniquely positioned to solve the problem you're tackling?

The three of us have known each other since 7th grade and grew up together- and somehow we all ended up in tech. Our team has deep expertise in the messaging space. Clark was a tech lead at Signal and WhatsApp, where he coded WhatsApp Stickers by himself—a feature used by billions of people daily. David Tsui worked on Messenger and WhatsApp for years, shaping some of the most widely used messaging experiences in the world. We’ve spent our careers building consumer products at top companies, shipping features at massive scale. Now, we’re applying that knowledge to solve a problem we’ve all faced firsthand, in a space that we're experts in.
