Athena combines early Legora builders with former AmLaw 50 partners and counsel to execute transactions for fixed fees. Our initial focus is repeat M&A acquisitions and commercial real estate, where closing speed and legal costs directly affect returns. In our first four weeks, 12 clients committed to working with us on their next transaction, representing approximately $380,000 in estimated legal fees. We are building the technology and the law firm together, so better software translates directly into lower delivery costs, better margins and savings for clients.

Cem Ucan
ex-Legora founding legal engineer. Helped scale Legora to its first $100M ARR, closing and owning many of the largest enterprise accounts (Cleary, Goodwin, Linklaters, Norton Rose Fulbright). Former Baker McKenzie attorney and legal tech lead.
Co-founder & CTO at Athena
Kieran John Keenan
ex-Legora founding evals engineer and member of technical staff. Built and scaled Legora’s evaluation function end to end, working across engineering teams to develop the eval infrastructure, operations, and systems underpinning every AI feature, from drafting and research to agentic workflows. Partnered closely with frontier model providers on deploying new models and building AI agents for law. Previously founded a legal AI startup building automated legal reasoning systems. Studied law at the University of Oslo in Norway.
