Hi! I'm CTO of Alike, and an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Oxford University, with a PhD in Computer Science from MIT (2011). My research over the past 25 years (at MIT, PARC, Nokia, and IBM) has focused on human-AI interaction paradigms, privacy-preserving systems, and core AI ethics and safety.

What's the story behind your company?
I've been researching how AI can support knowledge work for 2.5 decades, at MIT CSAIL, PARC, Nokia Research, and Oxford. Being a professor means you constantly have a stream of people needing your attention and help. Knowledge workers need support.
