I started university aged 13 and got my PhD from Oxford at 21, then pivoted to operational and leadership roles - but always out of an obsession with analytically studying group behavior and social networks
Questions & Answers
Why are you excited about your company/product?
Scaling communication and common knowledge is the biggest challenge in business - because you previously couldn't scale decision making over privacy and relevance or structure the messy world of work. AI changes this - and it'll change everything.
What's the story behind your company?
We were all best friends for years, working together through tough moments and looking for ways to change the world with each other. When we realised how the current practices of knowledge work and the coming AI revolution are on collision course, we dropped everything to build the better future.
What's a memorable 'aha' moment you've had while building your startup?
In the early days of Alike, we did everything we could to take discovery interviews - going out with donuts to popular tech lunch spots in London, cold-calling C-suite managers - all to sharpen our understanding. This completely changed and sharpened our thinking - and when we put our first prototype in the hands of champions in 15 businesses, we realised we were on to something.
